There's not a whole lot to say about this bypass other than it is simple to install and it works perfectly. I just installed my Clarion VZ401 a few days ago and tried a movie out today so my son could watch something while running his sister to a friends. I actually waited to install the VZ401, because the bypass got here after the player and I didn't want to have to pull it out to hook it up. Only three wires to hook up (ground "black", parking brake bypass "green", and remote turn on "blue"). I use a conversion harness for my car stereos so that I don't have to splice the factory wires, so it was easy to just twist them in while hooking the harness to the Clarion harness. Only problem I had was the shipping was slow even though I chose expedited. It should have arrived the same day as the stereo. Worth the time and money though if you need your DVD to work while driving.

Such a small, inexpensive, and easy to install item! Works exactly as advertised. Overrides the entertainment system's need to have the parking break active for video playback. Very convent for passenger use while vehicle is in motion but the driver needs to use caution for obvious reasons.
All in all a great little product.

Provides an ON/OFF/ON signal and holds it, so you can play video on your AVH-P8400BH.
I was worried the deck would keep looking for an ON/OFF/ON every time you switch to video, but that doesn't seem to be the case. It sticks on.

You still have to touch OK to the warning about driving with video, once, each time the deck is turned on, though that's a part of the unit, not a fault of this switch.

You could always wire in a manual switch to achieve the same affect, and switch it on and off and on, but this is as easy to install and then you never have to worry about it again.

When I hooked up the device to my JVC Navigation system the unit did not work. That evening I emailed the tech support address that was on the instruction, I received a reply within 12 hours and the response was actually very professional, courteous and helpful. The tech gave me several suggestions and when I went to try these ideas I realized one of the wires was not connected properly. Reconnected the wire and now the device works GRRREAT!
